An online screening of international short films that will make you move, in the comfort of your home! Movement tells us an important story on how we frame our world(s), communicate and interact. All our individual experiences meet each other on the common ground of body language.

Moving the Image is curated and produced by InShort Film Festival and ANNE Point. InShortFF promotes independent, inclusive and international short films, and it is a fully volunteer-based initiative. Their program includes F-Rating, meaning they give a shout out to films that are either directed/written/performed by women.

Iwa Pele @ Deptford X Fringe Festival 2018

I would like to invite you to my newest collaboration presented @ Deptford X Fringe Festival 2018:

Iwa Pele – a visual dance research collaboration by Kathrin Gramelsberger with Maarten Krielen and Anne Verheij

Iwa Pele is a concept from the Nigerian Yoruba religion and means balanced character. In Iwa Pele three artists go in search of this balance.
Nigerian-German initiator and choreographer Kathrin Gramelsberger explores her mixed heritage.
Inspired by Orisha – deities of the Yoruba people, this visual dance performance combines video art, Nigerian celebration dances and contemporary dance in a distorted way to discuss tradition and identity creating new points of view.
