In DO NOT TEMPT ME we see three individuals trapped in each their own worlds.
Perfect worlds with perfect fits but… lonely.

Undercurrent @ LSFF 2018

It is with great joy that I can announce that my newest film Undercurrent is accepted into the London Short Film Festival 2018!
The festival runs from 12th – 21st of January 2018.

Undercurrent
We find ourselves uncomfortably close with a dancer on screen. Are we allowed to possess her?
She is oblivious to her spectators until the momentum changes and she becomes aware that she is no longer alone.
On the verge of losing possession of her body she takes control, turning her attention to the camera and the audience behind it. Encroaching on them, like a predator stalking its prey.

ONES is a collaboration between Dutch visual artist Anne Verheij and Japanese choreographer Miku Tsuchiya, in which film and dance are explored across the former pedestrian tunnels of Elephant & Castle, London.

The Outlet Dance Project is committed to providing artists who identify or have identified as women an opportunity to share their artistic vision through site-specific dance, film, and work created for the stage. In partnership with Grounds For Sculpture – an internationally renowned contemporary sculpture park – collaboration, community building, and interdisciplinary experimentation are an integral part of the festival. The Outlet is dedicated to supporting all traditional and nontraditional dance forms. The festival celebrates the intersections of visual and moving arts, exploring relationships between sculpture and dance, between place and movement.

Dance and the moving image research with Harriet Latham

Yesterday Harriet Latham and I dived back into the physical part of our summer collaboration.

Over the past couple of months we have been filming, watching and talking about our collaboration and now we are back to filming.
One of the key points in this research is the trust that we have in each other and each others work approach. The space this creates for our individual and dual growth is fascinating and encouraging. It takes our work process to the next level where we have the freedom to try new things.

We are on the move!
